Stunning result at the N.E.C. Classic Car Show....

Silverstone Auctions were delighted with their sale result at the NEC Classic Car Show on Saturday 17th November 2012, where gross sales of over £1.32m were achieved. With 42 out of the 64 cars offered being sold, Silverstone were proud of their 65% sales rate at the first ever auction at the Classic Car Show.

Highlights included selling all four VW Beetles, including a 1950's split rear screen for £23,100.
Both Fiat 500's made exceptional money, the ex David Cameron car making double the pre-sale estimate  and selling for £18,480 and the concours red ex Fiat GB car selling for £17,200.

Other strong sellers were a Ferrari 456 GTA  which made £41,200, and the most expensive car in the sale - an immaculate Aston Martin DB IV - which sold for £224,000.

The successful sale means that Silverstone Auctions will be back at the NEC in 2013 to build on their solid start. The complete 2013 calendar of auction events is now available at; www.silverstoneauctions.com

Entries are now invited for the February 2013 Race-Retro sale, where 28 competition cars and over 50 classics sold for over £1.8m in 2012.
